Dr. Diane J. Rauschenfels is the coordinator of the Education Administration Program and Co-Director of Graduate Studies for the Masters in Education Program at the University of Minnesota-Duluth where she also teaches graduate education courses in a variety of degree programs. After beginning her career as a math/English teacher, Diane served as an administrator in K-12 public education for over thirty years, primarily within the Proctor, MN School District.
Throughout her career, Diane has been closely involved with special education and inclusion programs for students with disabilities. As Title IX administrator and Human Rights Officer, she worked to develop school policies that ensure multicultural/disability-free/gender-fair education and school environments free from sexual, racial, and religious harassment. Diane is an engaged, innovative leader in the Twin Ports community where she currently serves on the Duluth Area Workforce Development Board and as Vice Chair on the board of the Northland Foundation. She is the also the founder of Star of the North Machine Technology Program (SONTEC), an industry/education partnership to support high school students gaining technical college credits and work readiness skills. She enjoys reading, traveling, swimming, kayaking, and spending time with her sons Chris and Andy. |
